(MINNEAPOLIS, MN, 6/12/20) – On Friday, June 12, the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MN) joined a collation of other civil rights organizations for a news conference in Minneapolis to demand real change before the MN State Government convene on a special session starting Friday at 12pm 

Coalition organizations include CAIR-Minnesota, Black 

Lives Matter Minnesota, Black Lives Matter Twin Cities Metro, Communities United Against Police Brutality, Cop Watch Minneapo

lis, Minnesota Disability Justice Network, Twin Cities Coalition for Justice for Jamar, and others.

 

CAIR-Minnesota Executive Director Jaylani Hussein said: 
“Minnesota has an opportunity to lead on true reform. 'Band-aid solutions' are no longer acceptable."
